Brittany Leggott attended Wakefield School in The Plains, Virginia for fourteen years, achieving noteworthy grades and honors. In her time in the Upper School division, she enjoyed learning languages and writing compositions. Brittany chose her thesis topic, the opioid crisis, after witnessing a family member combat a heroin addiction and struggle to fight off dependence issues even through sobriety. Because of this experience, she wanted to learn about all aspects of the opioid epidemic and how these drugs rewire the brain, effecting such a wide array of people.

Following graduation, Brittany will be attending a two-year college locally before transferring to a proper school of her choice, and, although her plans for a major is currently undecided, she plans to enjoy her college experience and to work hard on finding herself and her path.
